Dear Mother & all
I will write you a few lines to let you hear from me. I am get along ok. and like the Army ok so far.
I was shipped out from Camp Lee Saturday eve at 4 oclock and got here at Camp
Wheeler at 5 oclock Sunday eve. I saw a lot. we came through North Carolinia first and then
South Carolinia and then most all of the way through Georgia. It isn’t so far to Alamba from here. All I saw in North Carolinia and South Carolinia was cotton fields
Atlanta Georgia was the pritties place I saw on the trip. If you know of any boys down here in this camp write and let me know.
It is about 2 times as hot down here as it is in Virginia.
Did you get my car in the shed if you didn’t get in the shed as quit as you
can and nail the shed up so nobody can get in there.
If you got them papers filled out send them to me. Some of them you are suppose to keep. get Doctor Roberts to fill them
out. write and let me know if you
got them papers. If you don’t get
them felled out right you can’t get any money. that’s what some of them
papers is for for dependience I told them I had 2 dependence Mother and Father.
