Dear Mother and all
I will answer your letter I got a few days ago I am well and
youall are the same. I would have answer it sooner but did have time. I like the
army ok we went on a 2 ½ miles hike Friday we had to carry a bout 70 lbs on our
backs for that 2 ½ miles We marched it in 45 minutes we didn’t stop for
nothing. 5 or 6 Men fell out they couldn’t make it I made it alright and liked
it fine. I had a chance to go to town to night if I won’ted to but I ant
going. I had some pictures taken Thursday and suppose to get them in a week. We
don’t have to take them if they ant no good. We get 5 pictures for $6.50 they
are about 4 x 5 in a little paper Fraim. I want to send Virginia one and I will
send you one soon as I get them.
I got $5.00 from Virginia and Cecil the other day I got them papers the other
day . I haven’t took them any where yet. I think they will be alright. Mama
Send my Bathing suit to me as soon as you can we will have to have them they
told us to send home for them.
I guess I will write Roberta a letter to Morrow. When is Income tax due. We don’t
get pay until 1 Sept. If you want to you can sell my part of Potatoes and make a
payment on my Income Tax and I will send the rest of the money when I get payed.
Youall can take out all the potatoes you want. And sell the rest of them. Write
and let me know if youall can make that Income Tax Payment. I will send the rest
of the Money home soon as I get payed. I would like to get it payed off.
Will since news is scarce I will close with love
