Dear Mother and All
I will answer your letter I got today and was glad to hear from you.  I am well and hope you are the same. it sure is hot down here I guess it is looking like fall up North by now.  is all the peaches gone by now and did Papa or Roby pick peaches we have done got two pays since I have been in the army.  I got $21.00 1 of Aug and $21.00 1 of Sept they took out $22 of my last pay for to send you it might be a few weeks before you get it.  the first $21 dollars was pay from the time I come in the army until end of July I didn't have but 16 dollars left after I paid for them pictures.
Was them papers you got about You drawing 50 dollars a Month from me.  If it was get them filled out as quick as you can and turn them in.
Tell Papa when ever its time to pay taxes on the Land to take My Money and pay half of it.  Have Uncle Jessie cut his corn yet.  When are you all going to move over there.  I guess Papa will do all of his farming over there next year have Papa ever cut that hay the second time.  We sure do get good training down here.  I have learned a lot since I've been in the army.  I believe I could fight in a battle now.  Did Mervin S. get my car battery I got a letter from Raymond he said that he wanted to buy it if I wanted to sell it I don't know what to sell it or not.  I guess its better to let Mervin S. to keep it.  he is the only one that would help put it in the shed.  if you had waited for Raymond to put it in the shed it would still be up at the house.  If no body can't do me a favor I sure ant going to do them none so I will let Mervin keep it until I call for it.  What did Davis say about the car wheels because I didn't let him have them.
Mama What Part of Freddesburgh is Grand Mother in I know some Boys from down there. who is the people she stay with write and tell me in the next letter.  Well since news is scarce I will close  By By answer soon
